The Ascolite TF-system is the perfect button attachment system for every type of clothes
Jackets
Buttons on suits are a very important design feature of the garment. The attachment should ensure, that the button is standing nicely and not hanging untidily when unfastened. For a high quality appearance the attachment should be made blind with one security show stitch visible at the back side of the fabric.
Shirts
Buttons attached with a shank are advantageous on a shirt for many reasons: The sides of the button hole do not bulge, the fastening comfort is much higher and due to the unique ASCOLITE thermofusion process the button is secured for the lifetime of the garment.
Trousers
The button on trousers should easily slide through the button hole therefore a little gap between the button and the fabric is needed. A small flexible shank enables the button to be closed with one hand even when a thick wallet is in the pocket.
Coats
Buttons on coats are a very important to be securly attached. The often rather heavy cloth is demanding a good sewing strength either enforced with back button and/or a perfectly wrapped shank. We can offer you solutions for you coat button attachment which will convice you!
Cuff links
A very low cost and fast method of producing cuff links for shirt cuffs is to convert a standard chainstitch button sewing machine (such as Juki 373) so that it will sew two buttons together with a long shank in between. This shank can then be wrapped with Ascolite TF-thread on a mk.10 automatic button wrapping machine. The result is a very neat low cost cuff link which can be made from the same buttons as are sewn on the shirt.
Shank styles
Short shanks
Shirts, blouses, trousers, skirts and duvet covers, can profit from the Ascolite button shank. The small shank on shirt buttons will prevent the bulges on the side of the buttonhole.
Long Shanks
On suits, coats or jackets the shanking is already standard. The Ascolite shank though is not only giving the stability but also security and this in the most elegant way. Button shanks up to 15mm can be evenly wrapped. Buttons with or without counter button can be wrapped.
Shank buttons
Blazer type buttons are often hang down due to their heavy weight. With a small Ascolite shank the button receives the necessary support to stand out straight. The TF technology secures the attachment and prevents button loss.
